Produce Show 2011

Sunday saw thousands flock down to the 5th annual Banbury Flower & Produce Show.  Members of the public were treated to an array of exhibits from fruit & vegetables, flowers and mouth-watering cakes and jams.  Children were also able to use their imagination to create animals made from fruits and vegetable.

Following intense judging of the 420 exhibits, increased numbers since 2010, visitors were able to view a marquee full of wonderful displays followed by a leisurely browse around the many food stalls and attractions situated within the Four Shires Show.

The Show has continued to grow since its commencement in 2006 and since the two events have come together the town now has a wonderful food-filled extravaganza. The merging of the two shows provides visiting public the opportunity to view, sample and take home many varieties of food and drink, with both complimenting each other

Town Mayor, Cllr Alistair Milne Home, commented “We must thank everybody who exhibited in such a wonderful show.  The quality of the exhibits reflected the sheer hard work that has gone into creating such excellence.  We had the honour of judging the children’s category and the task was amazingly difficult due to such superb exhibits”.

Ann Sewell, Events & Projects Officer, commented “It was wonderful to see new exhibitors on board this year, playing an essential role alongside the many exhibitors who have supported us since 2006. This event is very much community led and offers the chance for all ages and abilities to play part.   Special thanks to all who took time to show their talents, another superb Flower & Produce Show year”
