Banbury Show 2012
The biggest crowd ever for a Banbury and District Show packed into Spiceball Park on Sunday. Thousands of people of all ages flocked through the gates as sunshine and warmth replaced the rain, wind, and cold that blighted the days leading up to the weekend.
Organisers Banbury Town Council were delighted that the decision to drop admission charges for the show had paid off in spectacular fashion. A full day of arena action plus a funfair, charity stalls, and a host of other attractions gave visitors plenty to do and see.
Ferret racing, quad bikes, golf lessons, dog show, food and drink stalls, Saxon and Viking war re-enactments, and much more, all combined to make the event a resounding success.
Special thanks to the Rotary Club of Banbury, the Rotary Club of Banbury Cherwell and Banbury Cross Round Table for their dedicated support.
