Rain failed to
dampen the spirits of the thousands of people who enjoyed an action-packed
Banbury and District Show on Sunday.

the Xtreme Stunt Team, the Coventry Drum Corps and the Banbury Cross Flyball
Club entertained spectators – while on stage in the second field groups of
young dancers and the Brackley Brass Band attracted plenty of attention.

and a giant TV screen relayed The Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations
live from London.
Ross said: “Everyone knows there is plenty to do and see at the Banbury and
District Show and they come out even when the weather is bad.
“It was great
to see so many people smiling in the rain.”
Clarke, chairman of the council’s general services committee, added: “A great
deal of hard work goes into the planning and organisation of the show and it’s
so pleasing to see, despite the poor weather conditions, so many people having
a good time.”
