2018-2019 Annual Grant Applications

Opening Date - November 2017

The Town Council recognises the wide diversity of voluntary bodies operating in the Town and the effort which is harnessed for the benefit of the local community.  In its desire to improve the quality of life for people in Banbury, the Council works closely with the voluntary sector and provides grants to boost the funding of a number of good causes. The Council offers both Annual Grants and Small Grants.

Applications for an Annual Grant are invited each autumn for payment in the next financial year.  Details can be found in the news section of the website from November until the closing date in December. The Town Council is therefore able to assist a wide variety of local organisations with grants to enable them to function for the benefit of all sections of the community.

The following organisations, or the Banbury Branch of them, will receive grants in 2017/18:

Clean Slate £2,000
The Hill £2,500
The Mill Arts Centre  £5,000
Chasewell Community Centre  £2,000
Grimsbury 1st Scouts  £2,980
Oxfordshire Play Association  £1,000
St Marys Church, Banbury  £7,000
Banbury Folk Association  £1,000
Oxfordshire Volunteer Befriending Service  £920
Revitalise Respite Holidays  £1,000

Small Grants - available throughout the year

The Town Council also recognises that local groups, clubs and societies may benefit from smaller grants of up to £300 which are available throughout the year.  Most voluntary groups are eligible to apply providing their activities are focussed on Banbury residents.
