Park Ranger Vacancy
(Re-advertisement – previous applicants need not re-apply)
(Full Time - 37 Hours a week)
Banbury Town Council provides a wide range of local services
to our 45,000 population. Our annual
expenditure is £1.7M, over half of which is spent on services such as Parks,
Open Spaces, Play Areas, Cemeteries and Allotments and on our vibrant programme
of events. You will provide a high
profile, uniformed presence supporting these services.
We are looking for someone with a wide skill set and a “can
do” attitude. An ability to undertake minor works, general maintenance and repairs
will be needed. In addition to construction skills, possession of a New Roads
& Street Works Act qualification would be an advantage, as would an ability
to drive and operate a truck (below 7.5 tonnes) fitted with a HIAB crane.
You will undertake regular
inspections of our sites, including Play Areas, and will need an awareness of
health and safety.
Our Park Rangers work weekends and evenings as part of the
team’s work rota, to support our out of hours services and town events. The hours worked will vary according to the
season, with more worked during British Summer time, but on average will be 37
hours per week.
The role requires DBS clearance and a clean Class C & C1
driving licence. If you are looking for
a challenging role in a small, friendly team please download the application forms below:
If you have any questions regarding this post please contact the service manager Mike Hall, on 01295 250340.
