I have been living in Banbury since 1974, and have always played an active role in the community through the posts I have held, such as Ethnic Education Worker, home/school liaison officer for Banbury School and free lance translator/interpreter with County Council.
At present I am working at “EMBS” in Banbury as a Development Officer, Tutor and Outreach Worker. I have been a Town Councillor since 2004. I feel all the roles are very important to assess people’s needs and ambitions and to help them fulfil their aims. I can speak mostly Asian languages, such as, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and Mirpur’s Punjabi.
I am always willing to help all people of different cultures in varied fields of life and will carry on doing so as long as I am able to.
