I was born in Banbury in 1948 and have lived and worked here all my life. As a retired Police Officer, I decided that becoming a Councillor was a natural progression from my working background as both are for the benefit and well being of the local population.
I am a very keen genealogist and can trace some of my immediate ancestors back to a marriage at St Mary’s Church in Banbury in 1564. Perhaps this is why I have such in very strong interest in Banbury and its history.
I am Chairman of the General Services Committee attending regular meetings at the Town Hall. I also attend meetings of the Banbury in Bloom Committee. I have a particular interest in endeavoring to ensure that no more of Banbury's old and historical buildings are demolished or changed beyond recognition. I am also actively involved in the Save the Horton and the Woodgreen Open Air Pool campaigns.
Representing Calthorpe Ward I will also listen to any ideas, suggestion and complaints from my electorate and will attempt to resolve any issues affecting the area.
