Litter and Dog Bins
Litter bins
The Town Council are responsible for the provision and maintenance of litter bins in Banbury. Within the Town Centre there are 27 advertising litter bins, where businesses have an opportunity to advertise their services.
If you are a company and wish to advertise in the Town Centre on a litter bin in a prime location - please contact Trash Media on 0208 813 7008.
The Town Council contract Cherwell District Council to regularly empty these bins on our behalf.
The Town Council will also work with Cherwell District Council by contributing to "Gum-busting" - the chemical removal of chewing gum from the principal pedestrian areas of the town.
If you know of an area where a litter bin should be installed - please write to the Town Council or email us your request.
Dog Bins
We are responsible for the provision and maintenance of 95 dog litter bins in Banbury. During the year, the Town Council will review and enhance the service where possible.
The Town Council use a contractor to empty the dog bins. These bins are emptied once every week in the winter and twice every week in the summer.
Sponsorship of our dog bins is by Bayer Healthcare. www.stopwormsdead.co.uk
At present the dog bins at Hanwell Fields are still owned by the developer, but are emptied by the same contractor on a weekly basis.
If you know of an area where a dog bin should be installed - please write to the Town Council or email us your request.
