Litter bins
The town council is responsible for the provision and maintenance of litter bins within its parks and open spaces.
Anyone with suggestions on where new litter bins are needed should contact the town council on 01295 250340.
All town centre litter bins are maintained and emptied by Cherwell District Council on a regular basis.
The town council also combines with CDC in its ‘gum-busting’ programme – the chemical removal of chewing gum from the pedestrianised areas of the town.
Dog Bins
The town council responsible for the provision and maintenance of over 100 dog litter bins in Banbury. The council constantly reviews and enhances the service. The council employs a contractor to empty the dog bins twice a week, 52 weeks a year.
The majority of dog bins on open spaces at Hanwell Fields are still owned by the site developer, and are emptied on a weekly basis.
