Planting Day in the People’s Park



Planting Day in the People's Park is one of the largest Banbury in Bloom events.

This event is attended by up to 400 local primary school children with the format of the day being to plant the flower borders in the main floral bed area of the Park.  Each year a different theme is chosen with past themes such as 'Water' and 'Nursery Ryhmes'.   Children compete to win the first prize trophy, whilst being entertained by the Radio Horton roadshow.

After a busy morning planting children can spend time playing games and taking part in the accompanying balloon race.    Great fun for all who attend.
