What is Thames & Chilterns In Bloom?

 

Each year Banbury enters itself into the regional competition of the Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom Awards.

 

Banbury consider this competition as a project to strive towards in order to show the wonderful community spirit behind the name.  Whilst the competition conjures images of judging the towns floral display public may not be aware of other criterias the town has to meet.

 

Banbury will show a clear example of how it maintains its parks and open spaces, maintenance of verges, litter, fly posting and , grafitti management.   We will show the towns excellent reycling rates and on-going intiatives.   

 

This is a wonderful time to exhibit how the town of Banbury comes together as a community, through local authorities, schools, groups and organisations, businesses and ememgency services. 

 

We will continue to promote a town to be proud of.
