Banbury Food & Drink Festival
Large crowds and bright, warm weather helped to make Sunday’s Banbury Food and Drink Festival 2024 one of the most successful events of the year. Over 70 traders set up stalls across Market Place and Town Hall, with stalls selling everything from noodles and posh dogs to bespoke chopping boards and banana ketchup.
This year’s festival saw businesses from across Banbury and beyond come together to offer snacks, meals, and desserts, as well as plenty of choice in drinks. Visitors to the festival had plenty of cuisines to choose from, with food from all over the world on offer.
A key highlight of the day was the Get Cooking! workshop, designed to introduce children to the skills required to prepare their own meals. Young visitors could chop and mix in their choice of ingredients to create a vegetable noodle dish which they could then eat. The workshop ran throughout the day, and saw many families taking up this fantastic opportunity to introduce younger members to preparing a delicious, nutritional meal.
Once again, Banbury Music Mix Radio was on hand to provide live music for the event, this time delivering a mix of gentle acoustic artists with upbeat, heavier performers for a mixture of genres perfectly suited for the summer afternoon. Eva Gadd, Chris & Hannah Tobin, Mr. Bigglesworth, Abi Rowberry, Beau Norton, and Dom James Jnr all contributed to a truly unique line-up that went down exceptionally well with audiences throughout the day.
Banbury Town Council would once again like to thank all of the traders who attended the Food and Drink Festival this year. It was the sheer variety on offer that helped to define the 2024 edition of the festival, with returning businesses and newer faces helping to create about the level of diversity that has become synonymous with this Banbury Town Council event.
