Banbury Town Council provides a range of services in the town (see list below).
Each council is an independent body, but all three work together to ensure that the services provided are what the people of Banbury require. The town council is the first tier of local government and is therefore closest to the people. Its mission is to provide high quality and responsive public services, economically, and efficiently.
Although the town council has limited powers, it is a voice for Banbury within the higher authorities, and works with the other councils and public agencies to solve problems and provide facilities which might not otherwise be achieved.
