Litter Bins

The town council is responsible for the provision and maintenance of 212 litter bins within its parks, cemeteries and open spaces.

Anyone with suggestions on where new litter bins are needed should contact the town council on 01295 250340.

All town centre litter bins are maintained and emptied by Cherwell District Council on a regular basis.

The town council also combines with CDC in its ‘gum-busting’ programme – the chemical removal of chewing gum from the pedestrianised areas of the town.

Dog Bins

The town council are responsible for the provision and maintenance of over 121 dog bins in Banbury. The council constantly reviews and enhances the service. All dog bins are emptied twice a week, 52 weeks a year.

The majority of dog bins on open spaces at new residential developments are still owned and emptied by the site developer.

As of 1st April 2015, all bins, other than unadopted residential developments, are emptied by Cherwell District Council Cleansing.
