Banbury Tennis Club

The tennis club has been in existence since 1973 and is the only tennis club in Banbury.

The club has a growing squad of juniors and an active senior membership supporting teams in the Oxfordshire, Thames Valley and Banbury leagues. In the past the club has been very successful having reached the National Club Finals (Silk Cut) on two occasions.

The club operates all year round and several hardy members make use of the floodlit courts and play throughout the winter.

The tennis club facilities consist of six 'all weather' courts and a single room club house that has electricity and running water supplies. On entering the site, you first find a row of four courts that are fenced off, and these are owned by Banbury Town Council and are rented by the club. There are two other courts that have floodlights. All courts are locked and access is gained by an online booking system. Tennis Club members are able to use the pavilion facilities which include toilets, showers, changing rooms, bar and lounge. The changing rooms are mostly used by local cricket and football teams.

A defibrillator is affixed to the pavilion front wall.
