Banbury Town Hall Christmas Projections 2024
Published: 27 November 2024
Banbury residents passing Town Hall before the 29th December will be able to see the newest Christmas Projections. After a successful run in 2023, the Christmas Projections have returned to Banbury, with a number of designs made up of previous animations with some new festive touches.
Famous Banbury icons including the 'Fine Lady Upon a White Horse', the Corn Exchange, and the Banbury Sun, found throughout the town, all feature in this year's animation. Also included are Christmas trees, reindeer, and of course Father Christmas himself. The projections will be shown daily from 16:30 until 22:30.
The return of the Banbury Christmas Projections coincides with the activation of the Christmas lights, which lit up on schedule despite the cancellation of the 2024 Banbury Christmas Lights Switch-On event, which had to be called off due to the extreme weather caused by Storm Bert. Thankfully, none of the decorations were damaged, and as such the activation of both the lights and the projections were able to commence as planned.
While the cancelled Switch-On was due to be the final Banbury Town Council event of the year, there is sure to be a wide range of events organised by multiple businesses and organisations across Banbury to celebrate Christmas, as well as other seasonal holidays that occur at this time of year. Banbury Town Council meanwhile is looking forward to bringing a whole host of new events throughout 2025 - the council's 25th year of operation.
